Designing a musical freestyle for dressage can be a very time consuming and frustrating experience; investing hours of listening to and buying music, purchasing equipment, and learning the computer technology necessary.  Finally, it can take years to learn how to design and edit the music in a way that is creative while complying with the USEF rules and USDF/FEI requirements.

With 15 years of experience, I produce professional freestyles.  I can select music that suits your horse, or use your selection, and match the music's tempo to your horse's gaits.  I can design your custom freestyle at the level of your performance as well as create interesting and judge pleasing choreography. The original music will be rearranged so that in matches the movements you will be performing in a 20 x 60 dressage arena.

Rides include 2-day 45 min instruction and lecture Saturday evening -$150.00 per horse/rider (includes lunch both days, and dinner Sat evening)

These musical freestyle clinics are fun and educational for all who participate.  Riding to music that fits your horse can be one of the most enjoyable experiences rider's can have in dressage.

Lena Wedenmark Clinic @ Spirit Equestrian

Join us on December 3-4, 2011 for a Dressage Clinic with Lena Wedenmark!

Lena Wedenmark is a USDF certified instructor, and has also gone through the Instructor Training program in Sweden, earning her bronze and silver medals there.  Lena has been the coach at 2 Pan American Games, as well as 2 Central American and Caribbean Games, and has also coached at the FEI World Challenge Finals in Germany. 

Lena’s students have medaled at the Finals in Germany, with 3 silver medals and one bronze.  In the USDF, her students have earned Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, and she has students that have won and placed at CDI competitions.  She has students who have competed in the Young Rider and Junior Rider Finals.  

Lena’s approach to teaching involves showing riders how to become independent thinkers and doers by making the concepts simple, so that most all riders can understand her explanations and very easily put them into practice.  In essence, she teaches students how to teach themselves to ride.  She teaches both the horse and rider according to the training scale, with a focus on rider position through balance and alignment.  Lena maintains an extensive knowledge of bio mechanics of both the horse and rider, and has an article published in USDF Connection about achieving proper rider alignment.

David Hunt Dressage Forum & Clinic
September 23-25, 2011 

Spirit Equestrian welcomes esteemed equestrian David Hunt of Great Britain for a 3 day Dressage Forum and Clinic September 23-25, 2011.  

David is a true horseman with many years of training riders and horses as well as showing internationally. He was shortlisted for the Olympics in the 90's for the UK. David is President of the International Trainer's Club and sits on the Judges Supervisory Panel (JSP), which means that he is one of only three that can sit behind the judges at the Olympics and World Cup competitions and change the judges' scores if a judging mistake is made. David also sits on the Board of the FEI.

David is known for instructing riders of all levels and horses of all breeds. He focuses on the basics as well as encourages riders and horses to reach a higher level with confidence. David is one of the founders of the Global Dressage Forum that is held in Holland every year -- this will be our own SoCal Dressage Forum!
